Friday 25th November 2011, Kloof St, Cape Town
I bumped into Jospeh this week who is as happy and smiley as ever and who is putting the finishing touches to his plans to rerun to his homeland of Congo. He is planning to work the busy Christmas season and then he told me "In January I can go to Johannesburg and get my passport, then I can finally make my way home".
His excitement is obvious and he told me his sister has just managed to make her way back recently so they will all be reunited back there.
I drive up and down Kloof Street where Jospeh works most days and he is always there offering a smile and a wave. Most times I stop for a chat and he brings some extra sunshine into the lives of the people he meets.
